Thank You Debbie Ohi |
Right about now I'd be searching my beach bag for something to write with/on: gum wrapper, envelope, bill, book. Otherwise, I become so preoccupied with trying to anchor my brilliant idea in my brain that I can't relax in case I should forget.
That's a writer life!
But seriously, wish I was them right now! A cocktail with a cute little unbrelly. Hmm, all they need right now is a cabana boy to bring more cute little coctails with umbrelly's.
How about you?
HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!
HAVE A FUN BUT SAFE WEEKEND!
No matter where we go, our stories follow!
ReplyDeleteAlex, indeed they do. Sometimes it's most inconvenient:)
DeleteLove the cartoon!
ReplyDeleteThose bouts of inspiration can come anytime, anywhere. That's why they make a special notepad and pen for the shower.
Theresa, and it's most inconvenient in the middle of the night! A special notepad and pen for the shower? Really?
DeleteThey make a notepad that works in the shower? So I don't have to keep a dry-erase marker to write on the bathroom mirror?
ReplyDeleteLaura, right?
DeleteI love that cartoon. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
Golden, cute huh? I hope you have an aweseome weekend as well:)
DeleteLove to be there. Today, I'm in the attic preparing for my house move -- yikes!
ReplyDeleteDeborah, the attic in summer? It has to be hot. I cleaned the garage last weekend - still not done. Good luck with your attic-cleaning:)
DeleteHa ha! That is me! I am on holiday! And I am nothing like that. I can totally relax and not be a writer. Nope I'm good. I know how to relax. Oh. I'm blogging. Damn. Not supposed to be on my computer. Arrrgh!
ReplyDeleteClaire, you're the one laying on the beach blanket talking about blogging! Not to mention that you answered my email yesterday while you're on holiday.
DeleteHa! Great cartoon, Gwen! Isn't that the way of it? When I get away, I sort through all those plots in my head and finagle the means with which to employ them. I need a laptop...that's sand and water-proof. Ha!
ReplyDeleteBut like you...the reality is me fishing around my backpack for a gum wrapper (or some other ridiculous scrap of paper) to jot down that epiphany - else I forget. Lol.
Nadja, I swear I always have pen and paper...except when I really need them, LOL!
Deletei made sand sculptures and wrote haiku in the sand to go with them...
ReplyDeletethats fun for me!
but like my blog, no one (except my friends) stopped to read them...ha ha!
THANK YOU for this post! You reminded me about the plot point I thought of as I was falling asleep last night. Just made a note of it so I don't forget :)
ReplyDeleteAnd this cartoon made me smile!
