And now that I'm older - well, I still get little crushes. My current read is the Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices series). If you're reading the series, you know that Tessa is torn between Jem and Will. They're both good guys, but Will is a bit of a bad boy - and yeah, he's my book crush. I adore black hair and blue eyes, and by his description, I think he'd take my breath away - never mind that I could be his

My name’s Badger. I’m just your average eighteen year old guy. At least, until last summer when my dad disappeared. I had to take up the slack and help out running the family pub, the Blind Badger.
But then things got really strange. This girl came around and started saying my dad was dead and that she had spoken to his ghost. I took some convincing, I can tell you. He had been murdered, in fact, and we ended up doing our own investigation.
I care for this girl, but with ghosts popping in and out all the time causing chaos, I’m pretty sure I need a break. I was knocked to the ground, thrown up on and nearly killed. What’s a guy supposed to do?
So who is your current book crush?
Find your summer’s fling between the pages of a book. And don't stop on one - after all we have many BOOK BOYFRIENDS for you to mingle with.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THE LOVE!

Of course I have to talk a bit about Givin' Up The Ghost.
We all know that Indigo has a huuuge crush on Badger. But, well, they both come with some serious baggage. Here's what Badger had to say about Indigo:
Any book girlfriends on offer? :)
ReplyDeleteI can't actually remember having a big crush on any fictional character, but good luck with the promotion!
Hehe, we do have a few girls, Nick...
DeleteWhat a great idea for a promotion! I can't think of a book crush at the moment so I will have to check these out and find one. I do love Badger but he's much too young for me and I'd feel like a dirty old woman if I named him LOL.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Julie. Me, too. Cuz I'm more like his mother since I gave birth to him, you know?
DeleteSounds dreamy :) I remember having a crush on Jaimie (ack blanking on his last name) in the Highlander series.
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with the Highlander series, but I do love me some Scots, Johanna!
DeleteThis is a great promotion. Badger is a sweetheart so I'll name him though he's too young for me in real life. Maybe he can hang out with my teen W.I.P. character Circa?
ReplyDeleteThat's an idea, Sheena - but I wouldn't want to cause trouble for Indigo, LOL!
DeleteThere are some cool books involved!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alex!
DeleteNot sure I can risk this. My sweetie is the jealous type.
ReplyDeleteOh, we definitely don't want any jealous beaus around!
DeleteHmm... Probably Jon Snow. Alex Bledsoe's detective comes to mind, too.
ReplyDeleteJon Snow and Alex Bledsoe...both those names sound familiar...
DeleteSounds like an awesome summer read!
ReplyDeleteInfernal Devices is sort of a steampunk series - Victorian/modern mix - it's really kind of cool :)
DeleteGreat deals!!!
ReplyDeleteTruth? I haven't actually read a guy in literature that makes my heart pound. I really like Odd Thomas, but he's not quite my type (and I mean, the guy is heartbroken). Guess that means I'm happily married, eh?
ReplyDeleteI sort of crushed on Jake Solomon as I was writing him in Solomon's Compass, but he was the first book crush I'd had in a long time. And he really doesn't count since I wrote him. That's a bit incestual. Is that even a word? The last one I remember having was one of the SEALs in Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series. And I don't remember his name. How sad is that? I sound like a guy LOL!
