Hi Gwen! Thanks for having me over. I’m excited to be out
peddling my next book, ummm, I mean visiting blog friends ;)
I just sent my edits in to the publisher
yesterday…a few weeks later than expected, so my release date is all up in the
air, but, I am celebrating!
Why?
Good question…thanks for asking.
I am celebrating because I learned something very important
with this book.

All of us- from the
indies; to the small press ; to the bloggers in their underpants- we are all forging
our own trail. Sure, it’d be a comfier to wait until the train (or the large
pub) had all the tracks laid and there was a nice, warm coal powered locomotive
ready to carry us to our dreams, but hey, where’s the American spirit in that?
Settlers didn’t settle.
Sod busters didn’t wait for the plow to be invented.
Cowboys didn’t become pig farmers because they’re easier to
rustle up.
And the miners ‘49s didn’t wait to shop at Tiffany’s before
going after the gold.
When you want something badly enough, then working hard and venturing rough trails is just part of the journey.
And that’s the legacy and heart of indie.
Elizabeth Seckman: writer pioneer, who hates to camp. Her third book in the Coulter Men Series is to be released soon from World Castle Publishing.
Blurb:
Trip is the last of the Coulter sons to find love. He’s smart…he’s handsome…he’s a shadow op. He’s a man with all the skills a spy needs. But when it comes to relationships, he misses the target.
Jane is sweet…she’s beautiful…she’s a cleaning lady. She’s a
woman with all the skills a lady needs to sweep a man’s heart right into her
hands. She may be wanted for murder, but she has her sights set on Trip.
Trip sees her every day, but he never really sees her at all
until fate and his bitchy girlfriend bring them together. Nothing about Olivia
is average. Not her looks, her body, nor her obnoxiousness.
When Olivia turns her full fury on Jane, it’s Trip to the
emotional rescue. For him, it’s an opportunity to make amends. For Jane, it’s an
opportunity to make dreams come true…to make reality as it was intended to be.
Hi, Gwen & Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteYou're right Elizabeth, all of us are pioneers forging a new path.
I like the sound of Fate Intended. It's been a while since I read a book where the hero was oblivious to the heroine.
Men can be so clueless, especially in love ;)
DeleteWhat a terrific analogy. Congrats, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteThanks Maria!
DeleteYou can't wait for your ship to come in - you have to go build your own sometimes. Congrats, Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteWell said as usual Diane!
DeleteLovely cover! Great premise!
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate!
Thanks Shelly!
DeleteNothing better than hugs and chocolate!
We just don't want to be the Donovan Party, right Elizabeth?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the upcoming release!
I've seen a few who seem to feed on others. So not the way to go!
DeleteNow that's the perfect analogy!
Yay for Elizabeth! She's so right. You can't just sit around waiting for things to happen!
ReplyDeleteNope. Got to keep working Samantha!
DeleteThis made me want to stand up and cheer. Yay Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteLove the Fate Intended cover, how gorgeous.
Yay! I'll cheer with you.
DeleteI love the cover too. It's the genius of Lindsay Kendall Graphics
I feel so pumped after reading this. Thanks Liz and Gwen for inviting you. Let's write, power to the pen.
ReplyDeleteBoo yah!! I like your attitude Sheena-kay! But you already know that, right?
DeleteGreetings Gwen and Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, my pioneering human friend, Fate Intended for me to visit and comment. I enjoyed the blurb and visiting here was worth the Trip. Wishing you the very best with this, Elizabeth.
Thank you, Gwen, for having Elizabeth drop on by.
Pawsitive wishes,
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! :)
I need to make you a Punniest Dog on Earth badge Penny...if only I knew how!!
DeleteThanks so much for being here, Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure Gwen! Thanks for having me over to your very pretty site. I see a faire is coming...sounds like fun! I'll have to check it out.
